USCIS Announces Final Phase of Premium Processing Expansion for EB-1 and EB-2 Form I-140 Petitions

Updated: Apr 29, 2024

We are pleased to share an important update from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding the expansion of premium processing services for EB-1 (Employment-Based First Preference) and EB-2 (Employment-Based Second Preference) Form I-140 petitions. USCIS has announced the final phase of this expansion, which will allow additional categories of Form I-140 petitions to be eligible for premium processing.

Premium processing provides expedited processing for certain employment-based immigration petitions, allowing petitioners to receive a decision on their case within 15 calendar days for an additional fee. The final phase of this expansion includes certain EB-1 petitions that were previously not eligible for premium processing, such as petitions for multinational executives and managers.

This expansion is part of USCIS's ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and provide faster processing times for employment-based immigration petitions. It offers employers and beneficiaries greater flexibility and predictability in planning their immigration processes.

As immigration attorneys, we understand the significance of these updates and are committed to assisting employers and individuals with navigating the immigration system effectively. If you have questions about premium processing or need assistance with your EB-1 or EB-2 petition, please reach out to our firm for personalized guidance and support tailored to your specific needs.
